Recover or Change a Password on XP

 

Even if you do not have access to the current password. 

 

Simply follow these each steps:

 

Click Start

Click Run

Enter cmd  This will open the command prompt

Enter Net User and press the enter key

Enter Net User [Windowsloginid] followed by a space, then press the enter key.      ex:  net user administrator

Enter the new password and press the enter key.

Retype the new password and press the enter key.

  4. Openwall's John the Ripper - Good boot floppy with cracking capabilities.

  5. EBCD – Emergency Boot CD - Bootable CD, intended for system recovery in the case of software or hardware faults.

  6. WindowsPasswordForgot - Works even if you can't login to your computer.

Important note for Windows Vista users:
